We read Act IV, scenes ii-iv in Romeo and Juliet.  They answered the related questions in their packets.

Today we finished reading Act 3 and viewed Act 3 while taking video notes.  We then went over answers for the Act 2 packets and Acts 1 and 2 quizzes.  At the end of class, students worked with a partner to find two examples of foreshadowing from the play that give us clues about how Romeo and Juliet die.  Students are then to respond to the journal entry in the PowerPoint below.

Homework: Journals and Act 3 packets are due Wednesday. Packets turned in before Wednesday will receive 3 points extra credit.

Period 2 - We read all of act 3, scene 5 and discussed it.

Period 4 -We read and discussed Act 3, scene 4 and scene 5 up until Capulet leaves Juliet's bedroom.

Homework: Packets are due Tuesday

We began class by reading this article:

Then we answered these questions about it individually (completion points):
    a. What is limerence?
    b. How does this relate to Romeo?

Then...
Period 2 - We continued reading and filling out our packets until line 16 of scene 5 (of act 3).
Period 4 - We viewed the play up until the point we read yesterday, then we read and answered packet questions up until the end of scene 3.

Homework: none

Acts 1+2 quizzes and Act 2 packets for those who were absent on 11/22 need to be finished and given to Miss Vance by the end of this week. Check your grades to see if they have been returned

Today we reviewed yesterday's events in Romeo and Juliet and continued reading through the text up to the last two pages of Act 3, scene 3, when Friar Laurence talks about 'a pack of blessings.'

Homework: Answer Act 3 packet questions we have covered so far.

Students are finishing their writing diagnostic tests.  Then, they need to complete their reading diagnostic tests.  Students need to bring their single-subject notebook to class on Monday.

Students are completing a reading diagnostic test.  We may complete Chapter 1 in their vocab books if there is time.  Students need to bring a single-subject notebook to class on Monday.

Students will complete a writing diagnostic test in class.  We will begin completing the OGT packet as a review of the terms related to OGT.  Students need to bring their vocab books to class tomorrow.
