Today was a get-ready-for-the-profile-interview day. We researched and wrote questions.

Today students worked on the Adobe Lab on (1) completing scratch outlines and/or (2) beginning works cited pages.

HMWK: If you have not yet turned in your scratch outline, you may turn it in tomorrow for fewer points.

Today students (1) received instructions on submitting their work essays (click here for instructions) and (2) received their resume worksheet packets.

HMWK: Submit work essays to Turnitin.com by 11:59 p.m. and complete your resume worksheet.

Today we (1) discussed the qualities of a profile, (2) viewed a video profile, and (3) went over the assignment steps from the book.

HMWK: Arrange your profile interview, work on the initial research, and read through the interview and observation pages in chapter 15.

Today we worked on the Scratch Outline. It is due by the end of class tomorrow.

Today we discussed the profile assignment; students had some time to work.

HMWK: On Tuesday we will discuss The Call to Write (214-249). By Wednesday, you should have arranged for meeting with a representative of your profile paper's agency/club/organization.

Today we (1) went over vocabulary 22, (2) highlighted in yellow the changes based on chapter 3 of They Say/I Say and discussed them in workshop groups, and (3) learned about this weekend's revision, the Paramedic Method. Click here for a link for information about the Paramedic Method.

HMWK: Revise at least part of your work essay using the Paramedic Method for Tuesday.

Today we met in the Adobe lab, and I assigned the profile paper. We will be adapting it to make it work for our community.
