Today in class:  We completed the Affluenza Quiz as a bellringer and went over Chapter 1 vocabulary.  We also discussed the I=PAT measure of environmental impact - see the presentation here - and the idea of the Tragedy of the Commons (see p.16 in text).

Homework: Start getting organized and reviewing for the exam.  Old tests and quizzes, along with review sheets will be the most helpful.  Look over the review sheet and identify the topics you will need the most review on.   You ABSOLUTELY will need to do some preparation each day if you want to do well on the exam from now until the exam day.

Today in class: We completed this quiz on climate change and finished the notes on air pollution - see link and powerpoint from Monday's blog.

Today in class:    We presented the results of the air quality surveys done around the building last Tuesday before break.  We also began the notes on air pollution.     Access the powerpoint for the notes here.

Today in class: We finished the video on the story of the Love Canal and turned in the questions for the video.  If you were absent, see me to come in and make up the video and questions.

Today in class:  Article questions and INSERT on radioactive waste article were turned in.   Complete the lab on Packaging and Hazardous Waste - if you were absent, you can use materials and products at home.  

Homework:  Finish any part of the lab as needed.    You may complete the Cosmetic Database portion at home or there will be an opportunity to do so in class on Thursday.  Just be sure you know 3 products you use that can be used for this.

Today in class:   Assignment "Tracing a Throwaway Society" from Monday was turned in.

Today in class:  Review work turned in and unit test on Biodiversity.  Also any extra credit for this unit was turned in.   If you were absent today only, plan to turn in your review work and extra credit Monday and take the test.  If you have a study hall or student aide period, you should plan to do this during that period.

Homework: No additional assigment for Monday.  Mid term is Wed.Nov.17th so check your grade on the PIV after the test grades are posted.   We will start the new unit on Monday on solid waste & air pollution

Today in class: Species Profile Glogs were presented.  If you were absent during the creation of the Glogs, you will need to present yours to the class later this week.    Everyone can log on and check out and rate the blogs.

Today in class: Finalize your Species Profile glog - be sure to save and mark it "finished" and "public"
