In response to members of the community requesting the District consider funding sources other than property taxes for the new school project, the Bowling Green City Schools Board of Education has retained Rockmill Financial Consulting, LLC to analyze the legality, feasibility and impact of utilizing income taxes to finance the construction and renovation of its school buildings.
Rockmill Financial’s President, David Conley is an expert in school taxation, with over 29 years of experience. He has worked with more than a 120 school districts in Ohio on various matters related to facility financing and taxation. He is undertaking a detailed analysis of the community’s existing tax base and taxpayer composition to develop an opinion on the use of income taxes to finance the new project.
A public meeting will be held to present Mr. Conley’s findings at Conneaut Elementary School, 542 Haskins Road, on April 26, 2018 at 6:30pm.
